A Christmas Month Volume V - Christmas Decorations

Welcome back. This is going to be a short post, well shorter than normal. I've wanted to rant for a long time on the insane lengths people go to to decorate their houses for Christmas. This is my "micro-post" on Christmas decorations, which will round out the "Christmas Decorations" trilogy.
Funny...heh heh

First of all, lighting is annoying in a neighborhood. Well, allow me to rephrase; lights are annoying, but only when someone goes Clark Griswold on your ass. When the lighting fixtures you've put up end up sucking half the neighborhood's power out just so your Santa Claus on your roof will say "Ho Ho Ho" instead of just "Ho", that's a big problem. Power plants are cracking down every year to help avoid the wasteful stealing of precious electricity. We don't know if it's really working, but it seems to be.

Hilarious also
There is a line that consumers must draw themselves when buying Christmas decorations. Buying a cardboard Santa Claus with lights outlining it, or several light up reindeer that can be easily mounted on one-another is a silly manner (see above). You should take great care in buying such ridiculous novelty items to decorate your house, so that neighborhood hoodlums do not get a hold of your decorations and begin to mess with them, like mounting them, spray painting them, humping them, disconnecting them and everything else of the sort.

One other thing I'd like to stress is that people should also "save money" when purchasing these foolish items. You only leave them up for at the very least a month, so please take great care and pride in your finances for God's sake. You will regret it deeply, I promise you, because after you put up your decorations, you must also take them down, and store them in an attic or storage shed for the next three hundred and thirty days.  So, pretty please with sugar on top, don' be a fuckin' moron.

Well that was short. Yes, I understand there is not much to say about decorations, except that A LOT of people go overboard with them. Sure, their cute and they have their novelty value, but still. I ask all of you to have common sense when putting these decorations up or buying them. So please, don't be a yuletide ass hat, be smart...
